Rehabilitación del maxilar superior con una prótesis híbrida superior en Peek: reporte de caso clínico

Se presenta un caso de alta complejidad de prótesis implanto asistida, reemplazando el metal por un material termoplástico policíclico lineal semicristalino como el polieteretercetona PEEK que se ha propuesto para la fabricación de hibridas o protocolos en implantología. Este artículo resume las investigaciones actuales sobre las aplicaciones de PEEK en implantes dentales, especialmente para la mejora de las modificaciones de la superficie y del cuerpo de PEEK. A propósito de un caso clínico en un paciente de sexo masculino en el que se realizó como tratamiento un protocolo superior con estructura PEEK y coronas libres de metal.
