Importance of scientific research in clinical practice

Since the twentieth century, medical research was systematically implemented to obtain scientific evidence. Since then, the importance of scientific research in decision-making for clinical practice has been emphasized, being crucial in the development of enhanced approaches to diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention. This has provided a solid foundation that supports decision-making and improves the quality of care and outcomes for patients.
