Abstract

Objective: To estimate the relationship between the quality of sleep and bruxism in Stomatology students of a Private University, 2022. Methodology: This research had a quantitative approach and a non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 231 students from the first to the tenth semester of the Stomatology School of the Universidad Científica del Sur of both genders. As an instrument, a virtual questionnaire was carried out where the quality of sleep was estimated based on the Pittsburg index and the presence, or not, of bruxism through a self-reported bruxism assessment questionnaire. Results: In the total sample studied, where 32.33% (75) were male and 67.77% (156) were female, it turned out that 29.45% have a good quality of sleep and do not present bruxism followed by 25.62% who have a regular quality of sleep and do not present bruxism either. Conclusions: It is concluded that the majority present a good quality of sleep and of them, the majority do not present bruxism.
