The abstracts of the papers presented at the First International Symposium on Soil Health were reviewed by the Editorial Committee, which was composed of research professors from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the Central University of Ecuador. The committee members included five highly qualified professionals and academics with expertise in the subjects addressed at the symposium. The Editorial Committee developed and disseminated a format for the presentation of abstracts, which was subsequently shared with a diverse array of national and international speakers. Subsequent to the deadline for abstract submission, the abstracts were disseminated among the members of the Editorial Committee according to each member's area of expertise for the purpose of review and editing. These reviews were based on the established criteria of format and length, wording, language, and style.
